- Check library books out to take home from Mrs Ward
- Use tailored revision resources, textbooks, and reference books to support their studies
- Use a laptop to do homework and research
- Read, revise, and do homework in a quiet environment
- Get careers and future development advice from Miss Cookson
- Donate pre-loved books to become part of the school library or our community library
School Librarians:
Colmers’ Library has a number of student librarians from across all seven year groups, who work during scheduled lunchtime periods to help keep our Library and Study Centre a positive and productive environment whilst learning valuable skills such as time management and team work. Their tasks include:

BookBuzz:
In the 2023/2024 school year, Colmers took part in the Book Buzz programme. This allowed every Year 7 and 8 students to choose a book from a selection of 17 to take home and keep for free. The 17 books were handpicked by literacy and literary experts at Book Trust, and included dyslexic-friendly, non-fiction, and diverse options to ensure there was something for everyone. Our students took them home at the very end of the Winter Term, giving them access to a brand-new book to read over the holiday period.
